HYDERABAD, Jan 4: The district government has taken exception to the press conference of the Shia Ulema Council, criticising the ongoing development works in the city.

A statement issued from the secretariat of the district nazim said that on Youm-i-Shahadat Hazrat Ali, the district government had carried out repairs of the Qadamgah-i-Moula Ali road.

It said that on the auspicious occasion of Eid, District Nazim Kanwar Navid Jamil visited Qadamgah-i-Moula Ali and met the office-bearers of Shia organizations.

They assured the Shia leaders of cooperation during Moharram and apprised them of steps taken so far to facilitate the Azadars.

The statement said that the Shia leaders had only asked for levelling Station Road but the other roads on the routes of mourning procession had also been levelled.
