MARDAN, Dec 23: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam provincial amir and Senator Gul Nasib Khan, has claimed that the intelligent agencies are interfering in the internal affairs of the NWFP. He holds them responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the province.

Addressing party workers here on Saturday, he accused the federal agencies of disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in the province. Criticising the policies of the federal government, he said President Gen Pervez Musharraf had failed to implement his seven-point agenda and was, therefore, acting against religious parties.

The senator claimed that obscenity and indecency would spread under the cover of the Protection of Women Act, adding that the law was meant to appease the western world.
