HYDERABAD, Dec 18: Shia Ulema Council, Sindh chapter, announced on Monday that the council would observe December 22 as a protest day across the province to protest against unnecessary delay in the arrest of Allama Hassan Turabi’s murderers.

The meeting decided that the council would hold peaceful protest demonstrations outside mosques and Imambargahs after Friday prayers on December 22.

The meeting also decided to set up Azadari cells at provincial, divisional, district, taluka and union council levels to coordinate with government and local administrations to get the Azadaran’s problems solved during Muharram-ul-Haram.

It demanded that the district government repair the Qadamgah Moula Ali Road and other roads to be taken by the mourning processions and expressed full confidence in the leadership of Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi.
