ABBOTTABAD, Dec 17: Balakot Tehsil Nazim Juneed Ali Qasim has demanded that the National Highway Authority and the Frontier Works Organisation should send heavy machinery to earthquake-affected areas to clear roads of snow and landslides.Speaking at a meeting of the Tehsil council, he announced an amount of Rs4 million for development schemes and Rs1 million for projects to be completed under the community citizen board.The nazim called for preparation of data of all NGOs working in the area.

He alleged that NGOs working in earthquake-affected areas were wasting funds on non-development schemes.

He said that office-bearers and employees of NGOs were getting excessive perks and spending less on welfare activities.
