FIA endurance test

Published Updated

THE Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recently announced more than 1,300 vacancies across various cadres, including both uniformed and non-uniformed posts ranging from BS-01 to BS-15. The physical endurance tests for these vacancies were conducted across the country from June 5 to 20 in batches. The process was carried out in a professional and transparent manner.

However, some of the candidates could not appear in the test as the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) had scheduled a screening test on June 6. A number of candidates whose FIA test dates conflicted with the SPSC examination approached the relevant authorities for assistance. Unfortunately, they were not facilitated.

Consequently, several of the candidates, particularly those from Sindh, were compelled to forgo their opportunity to compete for positions in the FIA.

The authorities should seriouly consider re-conducting the physical endurance test again for those who have already submitted applications regarding their genuine grievances with the FIA offices.

To expedite the process and ensure administrative convenience, all such candidates from across the country may be directed to appear at a single station, preferably Islamabad, for smooth process, and to avoid any financial burden on the department.

Such an opportunity would really enable deserving candidates to demonstrate their physical fitness and abilities while further strengthening the principles of transparency, fairness and merit that the FIA recruitment process seeks to uphold.
