TOBA TEK SINGH: Mureedwala police at Faisalabad claimed to have arrested two suspects wanted in a robbery and gang rape case reported some six years back.

A police spokesperson told the media on Sunday that the suspects -- I and F – on night of December 28, 2020, had forced their entry into the house of Shahid at Chak 192 GB, Islamnagar, and made the family members, including women, hostage. They locked them up in a room after tying their arms and legs with ropes.

They later separated Shahid’s wife from others, gang-raped her at gunpoint and fled away after collecting cash, gold ornaments, six mobile phones and other valuables from the house.

The police calimed that both suspects, who were also declared proclaimed offenders by a court, have been arrested.

TWO BOOKED FOR ‘RAPE’: Civil Lines police at Faisalabad booked on Sunday two students of a private law college for alleged abduction and rape of a female student of the same college.

The first semester student, ‘M’, a resident of Gojra, said in the FIR registered under section 376 of the PPC that she appeared in a paper at the examination centre set up at the Government Islamia College, located on Sargodha Road, on April 30.

She said that after the paper, when she was going to the general bus stand to take a bus to Gojra, the suspects -- S and SA – both students of the college, bundled her into their car and took her to an unknown place, where S raped her, while SA recorded a video of the episode.
