KHYBER: Two people, including a 10-year-old boy, were killed when a car was ambushed in the Khyber tribal district on Friday, the police said.

Police officials in Landi Kotal said that unidentified gunmen ambushed the car in the Sultankhel area, killing Mohammad Fayyaz and his 10-year-old nephew, Arsalan, on the spot.

The police registered a case against the unidentified attackers and started an investigation. It was learnt that Fayyaz was a salesman in a shop, while his nephew was a fourth grade student.

The motive behind the killings could not be known as the family of the slain persons said they had no enmity with anyone.

Meanwhile, a woman lost her life in a roof collapse incident in the Sur Kamar area of Jamrud on Friday.

Also, the Khyber district administration has sealed several restaurants and meat shops owned by Afghan nationals in the Wazir Dhand market of Jamrud over the last couple of days.
