Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said he spoke to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the ruler of Bahrain.

In a post on X, PM Shehbaz said that he conveyed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the brotherly people of Bahrain during the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

“While praying for the safety and security of our brothers and sisters in Bahrain, I emphasised restraint, respect for international law, and the urgent need for dialogue and diplomacy to restore peace and stability in the region,” he stated.
