TOBA TEK SINGH: One-day Munir Niazi Literary Festival was organised by the Punjab Council of Arts in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan auditorium in Faisalabad featuring poetry recitals, theater, music recitals, and discussions on Munir Niazi’s poetry and personality by various poets and literary figures.

A press release said on Saturday that the festival began with a discussion on Munir Niazi’s life and poetry, which was chaired by renowned poet AH Atif. Other participants included Shafqat Hussain Shafqat, Qamar Bukhari, and Arif Bukhari.

Renowned poets of the country participated in the poetry gathering, including Ali Zariyon, Ahmed Saeed, Dr Tahir Shaheer, Zahid Fakhri, Salman Gilani, Arif Bukhari, Nasir Maroof, Mah Noor, AH Atif and Shahzad Baig.

On this occasion, Hammad Sarwar, General Manager of UBL, Pasban Group Chairman Major retd Shahnawaz-ul-Hassan, and Ms Qurat-ul-Ain, CEO of the Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management, participated and discussed information technology, social issues in various sessions.

Students from Fast University presented the thematic drama Shartia Mithay, which was well appreciated by the audience. Punjab Council of Arts Director Maqbool Ahmed Malik appreciated the organisation of the festival.
