LAHORE: Police have arrested the son of a former cricketer allegedly in a rape case of a domestic worker on Saturday.

The Barki Police Station registered the case against the son on the complaint of his housemaid on Jan 23.

According to the FIR, the suspect allegedly called his maid to report to work urgently.

The complainant told police that the suspect picked her up in his car from the main gate of a housing society and drove her to his farmhouse. The suspect then forced himself on her. The woman later approached the Barki Police Station and submitted an application for registration of a rape case.

Police have taken the suspect in custody and started the investigation.

A senior police official, on condition of anonymity, confirmed the arrest, saying medical examinations of both the suspect and the complainant were being conducted as a part of the investigation.
