LAHORE: The entire federal government has shifted to paperless digital systems, says Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khwaja.

Addressing a ceremony at the Expo Centre on Saturday, she said, “We are a nation of 240 million people, out of which 150m are youngsters.” She said the country’s national economy was undergoing technological transformation.

She said the government had launched the Asaan Khidmat Service Centre with the aim to provide convenience for ordinary citizens. Public services could make people’s lives easier by eliminating red tape and corruption.

She said, “We are developing public-private partnerships in a way that ensures better service delivery. We constantly ask ourselves what role we can play in improving the lives of ordinary people.”

She said that after winning the war (with India), Pakistan proved its strength to the world.

“We also established the credibility of our cyber security capabilities globally. It was once said that our neighbour was too powerful, but today we can stand anywhere and speak with confidence.”
