QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has declared unlawful and malicious an FIR registered by police under the terrorism act against Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) senior vice president Sajid Tareen, information secretary Hassan Agha and others.
A two-judge BHC bench comprising Justice Iqbal Ahmed Kasi and Justice Ayub Khan Tareen heard the petition filed by Advocate Sajid Tareen against the FIR registered against him, Agha Hassan and others.
The beach, after hearing the arguments of lawyers, declared the FIR illegal and observed that the case has been registered on malicious basis and quashed it.
Advocate Tareen, while talking to reporters after the verdict, said that similarly the government has also registered several fake cases against BNP-Mengal chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
He said the party will not remain silent against atrocities being committed against the party leadership and political workers.
“We will continue to raise voice against these illegal acts of the government in the court and outside the court,” Mr Tareen declared.
