KARACHI: Fatima Siddiqui, Munza Khan and Anusha Naveed, all students of private colleges in the city, clinched first, second and third positions as the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the results of the intermediate (Class XII) science (pre-medical) annual examinations 2025 on Saturday.
BIEK chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho announced the results and said that the first three positions were secured by girls.
All position holders are student of private institutions
Fatima and Munza Khan, both student of Bahria College Karsaz, secured first and second positions, respectively, with 1,021 and 1,016 marks out of 1,100 and A-1 grade. Anusha Naveed, a student of College of Emerging Technologies, secured the third position with 1,015 marks and an A-1 grade.
BIEK’s Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid said that 28,259 candidates registered for the pre-medical group exams, while 27,323 candidates actually appeared, out of whom 15,572 candidates were declared successful. Therefore, the exam success rate was 56.99 per cent. Some 1,998 candidates secured ‘A-1’ grade, 3,471 secured ‘A’ grade, 4,070 secured ‘B’ grade, 4,095 secured ‘C’ grade, 1,878 secured ‘D’ grade and 60 candidates secured ‘E’ grade.
The results have been uploaded on the board’s website, www.biek.edu.pk, while the candidates may also check their results on the official Android app of the BIEK.
Mr Lakho congratulated the students and said that after the announcement of the results of all intermediate groups, a ceremony will be held in their honour to encourage position holders. Parents, teachers and the media will also be invited along with the students.
