GUJAR KHAN: A ceremony was held at the memorial of Captain Raja Mohammad Sarwar Shaheed – the first recipient of Nishan-i-Haider – on his 77th martyrdom anniversary in his native village, Singhori, near Gujar Khan.

The chief guest of the ceremony was Major General Akif Iqbal, while the host of the solemn event was Major Raja Adeel Sarwar Bhatti, grandson of Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed. The chief guest laid a wreath at the martyr’s memorial on behalf of the Army Chief.

A contingent of 8 Baloch Regiment gave a salute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed Nishan-i-Haider.

On the occasion of the 77th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed Nishan-i-Haider, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Armed Forces, and Service Chiefs paid tribute to the martyr.

Fateha was recited at the memorial, and a large number of prominent figures from civil society and local residents participated in the ceremony.
