KOHAT: Rivals shot dead two persons and injured another over a murder enmity in the Miankhel Bazaar of Kohat city on Wednesday, the police said.

SHO city police station Fayyaz Khan said that the deceased, identified as Anas and Rashid, were attacked by Mohammad Ibraheem and his brother, Bilal. The attackers hailed from Kurram district, and were presently living in Merozai area of Kohat, he added.

The deceased, who also belonged to Merozai, had killed the father of the assailants some time back, the SHO said.

SHO Fayyaz said that the two attackers had been arrested and a case registered against them.

The bodies were taken to the KDA Teaching Hospital for autopsy. Later, they were later handed over to relatives.

Meanwhile, the police arrested 11 youngsters on Wednesday for taking bath in the Tanda Dam despite a ban imposed by the deputy commissioner amid threat of flood.

A team led by SHO Riaz Mohammad Shaheed Police Station Mir Afzal Khan raided the dam and arrested the youth.

Also, encroachments obstructing water flow in the Ibrahimzai area of Hangu district were removed on Wednesday amid risk of urban flooding in the current monsoon season.
