UMERKOT: The entire Heerabad village in Umerkot district descended into mourning on Sunday after three youths aged between nine and 12 drowned in a deep pond.
The victims, Chandra, 12, daughter of Channesar Oad, Anita, 10, daughter of Karo Oad, and Sanjay, 9, son of Babu Oad, fell into the pond while playing near it.
They were taken to a hospital where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.
