BAJAUR: The authorities on Thursday sealed several private health outlets here in Utmankhel tehsil for operating without licences and documents.

A statement issued by the deputy commissioner’s office didn’t mention the exact number of facilities that had been sealed. However, the statement said that among these, about eight private health facilities, which included clinics and medical stores, were sealed by a joint team of the district administration and local health department in different areas of the region, said the statement.

It said the team led by additional assistant commissioner Shahzad Ahmed during the inspection could not find any legal document with the facilities owners’ compulsory for operating it, which led them to take action.

According to the statement, besides lack of necessary documents such as doctor qualification degree, pharmacy licences, and NOCs, these outlets were operating without basic amenities.
