OKARA: An 11-year-old boy was found hanged in his house under mysterious circumstances in Shahzad Colony, Dipalpur.

In the first information report (FIR), registered under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), victim’s uncle Moazzam Ali said his brother Qamar Fayyaz, a Rangers personnel, a resident of Chak 39/4L, and his family, including his younger brother Haseeb and their mother, have been living in their maternal house in Dipalpur city for schooling of children.

The complainant said that on Monday he went to see Qamar’s family at Dipalpur. When he reached there, the main door of the house was open. As he entered the house, he saw Haseeb’s body was hanging from an iron window with a piece of cloth wrapped around the boy’s neck.

He said no other family member was in the house, except the victim’s five-year-old sister.

He said he immediately called police on helpline 15 and raised an alarm, gathering neighbours and other locals.

A police team led by the city SHO reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital for an autopsy after the crime scene unit collected forensic evidence.

Meanwhile, the victim’s mother and brother also returned home.

The police on the report of Moazzam, registered a case against unidentified suspect(s).
