NAWABSHAH: A young man was stabbed to death in the name of honour but the woman, who was accused of being his lover, survived axe attack by her husband in Yousuf Bhambro village near Padidan on Monday.

The enraged husband Intezar Bhambro and his associates identified as Zahid Ali, Wazir Ali and Sultan Bhambro attacked the victim Anees Bhambro with knives when he was busy working at a brick kiln in the village, leaving him for the dead, and managed to escape.

The injured was taken to Padidan Rural Health Centre from where he was shifted to Peoples Medical University Hospital, Nawabshah, in critical condition but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Intezar Bhambro had earlier attacked his wife Ms Izzat with an axe and left her critically injured. She was rushed to hospital and luckily survived the attack on her life.

Sabir Ali, brother of late Anees lodged an FIR at Padidan police station against Intezar Bhambro, Zahid Ali, Wazir Ali and Sultan Bhambro under Sections 302 and 34 PPC.
