MITHI: In a heart-wrenching incident of animal brutality, unknown hunters caught a deer and chopped off its legs on Sunday in Mokhai village falling within Nagar-parkar’s wildlife sanctuary.

The incident sent a wave of shock among residents of nearby areas and invited a storm of criticism from social media activists.

Some passers-by first noticed the deer bleeding and uncontrollably screa-ming. They alerted the local wildlife officials but none of them turned up to ascertain facts.
