GWADAR: An administrative official was injured in an attack by unknown armed suspects on Thursday evening while he was out for a walk in Turbat.

According to police officials, the incident occurred on Airport Road when armed suspects riding a motorcycle opened fire on Turbat Naib Tehsildar Sher Jan Dashti, injuring him.

Police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured officer to Turbat District Hospital. The suspects escaped from the scene after firing. The motive behind the attack is not known yet.

“We are investigating the incident and will soon apprehend the attackers,” a senior police officer said.
