DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A passenger bus going from merged Darazinda tribal tehsil to Dera city was gutted when unknown miscreants set the bus ablaze near Daraban tehsil, a police official said on Saturday.

The official told Dawn that unknown armed persons stopped a passenger bus near Dera Ismail Khan.They forced the passengers to leave the bus, tortured the driver and set it on fire.

The miscreants also threatened to kill the passengers, according to the police. Later, the assailants escaped from the spot, the official said.

After receiving the information about the incident, a heavy contingent of police and security agencies reached the spot and started further investigation.
