He was presiding over a meeting to review productivity and efficiency of the Endowment Welfare Funds of different sectors of the provincial government.

The meeting was informed that there were 25 Endowment Welfare Funds worth Rs108 billion and due to this investment, Rs8 billion was earned annually by the provincial government.

The meeting was informed that Benazir Bhutto scholarships along with general scholarships have been approved for minorities, transgender persons and children of martyrs.

Mr Bugti stressed the need for investing Endowment Welfare Funds on successful projects to provide maximum benefit to under-privileged sections of society.

He said students of Balochistan interested in scientific research will be facilitated by the government to do PhD in top 20 universities of the world.

He said the government is trying its best to bring back out-of-school children to educational institutions of the province.

The chief minister said that most parents of rural areas want to educate their children, but due to long distances, their children cannot go to schools and suggested providing two to four vehicles to every union council to facilitate the out-of-school children.
