NAROWAL: Three people, including a citizen and two robbers, were killed and another injured in exchange of firing in Sheikhupura on Wednesday.

Reports said during a robbery, a man was killed, and another injured. Two robbers were killed due to retaliatory gunfire from the people.

Waqas Ali and Waseem Abbas were stopped by robbers at Khanpur Canal. During the robbery, gunfire erupted, resulting in serious injuries to both men. Waqas Ali succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while Wasim Abbas was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital by Rescue 1122.

In the meantime, residents from nearby villages surrounded the robbers, leading to a crossfire in which both assailants were killed.

According to Rescue 1122, the suspects have been identified as Afzal Shaukat and Shehbaz.

Rescue 1122 has shifted the three bodies to Sheikhupura DHQ Hospital.

ASI Muhammad Yunus said no FIR was registered so far.
