LAHORE: Six regional teams will feature in the National Women’s One-day Cup being held in Faisalabad from April 17 to May 11.
Teams from include Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta and Rawalpindi will participate in the event.
The tournament will be played on a double round-robin basis, with each side playing a minimum of 10 matches. The top two teams will qualify for the final.
Every player-of-the-match will earn Rs20,000 while
the player-of-the-tournament will pocket Rs50,000. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs1 one million and the runners-up will get Rs500,000.
Furthermore, the four-member women’s national selection committee led by Saleem Jaffar announced the squads of the six regional sides taking part in the tournament.
Karachi and Lahore sides comprise 15 players each while the other four teams consist of 14 players each.
The 15th player of the four teams will be selected from Pakistan women’s 20-member probables squad announced for the West Indies series, where four players will be released at the end of the training camp.
