Ahead of the PTI’s planned protests, Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) operations Ali Nasir Rizvi has said the police would not allow anyone to take “law into their hands”.

The statement comes as a large police contingent has been deployed at the main locations where the protests are expected.

DIG Rizvi warned, “If anyone raises their hand on any police constable’s uniform, we will deal with them with iron hands.

“No miscreant will be allowed to destroy the city’s law and order,” he added, as he raised slogans to boost the police morale.
