LARKANA: ThePrime Minister, MrZulfikar Ali Bhutto, has said “after years of subjugation, exploitation, ignorance, internecine conflict and humiliation the Muslim nations are beginning to forge unity and to banish the discord whose seeds were sown by the evil forces of Imperialism in the past and of exploitation today”. “Let us pray and strive our utmost that the long dark night endured by the Muslims should now come to an end,” the Prime Minister added.

In a message to the nation on the occasion of Eidul Azha the Prime Minister urged the people to follow the teachings of the founder of Islam (on whom be Allah’s blessings). … “This year the message of Muslim unity is surcharged with a special significance for Muslims all over the world. Eidul Azha today comes in the wake of a conflict in the Middle East which may well mark a turning point for the Muslims in the last quarter of a century. … For the people of Pakistan, it is a matter of deep satisfaction that the Heads of Muslim States and Governments have accepted the invitation to assemble in Lahore next month for what could be a historic conference. At this great assembly of Muslim leaders from all over the world, we shall endeavour to produce a charter for the real emancipation … of Muslim peoples.”
