LOWER DIR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) district president Mahmoodzeb Khan has said that his party has the ability to resolve the current issues of people including inflation and unemployment.
He told a news conference here on Wednesday that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would visit Lower Dir district on December 9 to address a public meeting in Timergara. He said that party had finalised preparations for the public meeting.
PPP district general secretary Advocate Alamzeb, city president Bakht Rehman and village council chairman Malik Javed Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
Mahmoodzeb said that leaders of other political parties were also invited to attend the public meeting. He said that the public meeting in Timergara would change the minds of locals.
Advocate Alamzeb said that PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto played an important role in development of Dir. He said that he sent thousands of Dir youth abroad for work and declared the entire Malakand division a tax-free zone. He said that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto would also follow in the footprints of his grandfather.
Mahmoodzeb said that nation faced miseries owing to the current inflation and unemployment while PPP had the ability to overcome those problems.
He said that the nation would make the former rulers accountable during the February 2024 general elections as they ignored labourers and poor.
