TOBA TEK SINGH: Three persons were murdered over old enmity at Chak Jhumra of Faisalabad on Sunday.

According to the first information report (FIR), complainant Muhammad Amer Diyal of Chak 186-RB informed police that his brother Muhammad Ahsan and two friends, Imran Ashiq of Rasoolpura locality and Karam Rasool of Gojra Chak 357-JB, were returning from Faisalabad after attending a marriage ceremony by a car. When their car reached the Canal Road near Wapda City, nine members of their rival group and their five accomplices, residents of Chak 162-RB, who were following them in two cars opened indiscriminate fire on it. The attackers included Haider Bajwa, Shahid Bajwa, Anwarul Haq Bajwa, Ahmar Bajwa. As a result of the firing, Ahsan and his friends were critically wounded. Two of them died instantly while the third also succumbed to injuries when he was being shifted to Allied Hospital.

The complainant added that the suspects were shouting that they had taken revenge of the murder of Anwarul Haq Bajwa’s son Ahmad Bajwa and his friend.

Faisalabad CPO retired Capt Muhammad Ali Zia visited the murder site and assured the families of the deceased that the suspects would be arrested. He deputed Madina Town SP as the head of the police team for the arrest the suspects.

DIES: A chicken fat trader died when the gun of a security guard allegedly went off at a chicken meat shop near the railway level crossing in Toba Tek Singh.

According to police, Muhammad Ali was standing outside the shop when the gun of security guard, Fakhar Manzoor, went off and a bullet hit Ali. City police arrested Fakhar and confiscated his gun for interrogation. The body of the deceased was shifted to the DHQ hospital for autopsy.
