TOBA TEK SINGH: In two smog-related accidents a man died and four members of a family were critically injured in Faisalabad on Saturday.

Rescue 1122 officials said Sajjad Ali (46) of Chak 296 RB Wakeelwala was travelling on a motorcycle on the Abbaspur Road. As he reached near Danga railway level crossing, a van coming from the opposite direction hit his motorcycle. The van driver could not see him in low visibility. As a result of the strike, Ali was seriously injured. He was being shifted to the DHQ Hospital but died on the way.

In another accident, four persons of a family of Lahore who were on way from Lahore to Faisalabad were wounded after their vehicle hit a road divider near Khurrianwala on Makkuanana Bypass Road.

The injured included Latif (50), his two sons Kashif (23) and Rehman (13) and daughter Humaira (17).

They were shifted to Allied Hospital.

KILLED: Two brothers were killed over a fight between children at Dogar Basti of the Peoples Colony Police Station area at Faisalabad.

Two families had a confrontation over a children’s fight that led to the murders of two brothers on the day of their sister’s wedding.

Reports said both deceased brothers, Suhail (27) and Faisal (32) were installing tents for marriage of their sister in a park opposite their house when suspects, Abbas, Waseem, Sajawal and Adeel, who were all brothers, and their cousin Sikandar, opened indiscriminate fire on them. As a result, both of them were critically wounded. Suhail died instantly while Faisal was rushed to Allied Hospital Faisalabad where he too succumbed to his wounds.

In another incident, a man was killed over an old rivalry on the Satiana Road near Khanuana Adda in Faisalabad. The opponents opened fire on Arshad (68) over a property dispute and killed him on the spot.

MURDER: A goods transport owner was murdered at Gojra.

Reports said Ali Shan Gujjar, owner of a truck business, was going to his workplace along on a motorcycle when the suspects, Imran and Faizan of Hasnia Colony of Gojra, opened fire on him on the Bypass Road. As a result, Gujjar was critically wounded. He was shifted to THQ Hospital Gojra where he succumbed to his injuries.
