KARACHI: A 35-year-old woman was shot dead in Orangi Town on Tuesday, police said.

They added that Azra Rehmat was killed inside her home near Malik Chowk.

The police attributed ‘some personal dispute’ to the murder.

Mominabad SHO Ansar Ahmed said that initial probe revealed that the victim used to dance in wedding ceremonies.

He said that she was at her home along with her brother when three assailants entered and opened fire and fled. She suffered multiple bullet wound and died.

The body was taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi to complete medico-legal formalities.

Man wounded by ‘robbers’

A young man was shot by alleged robbers in Essa Nagri on Tuesday.

Aziz Bhatti police said that Mohammed Bin Hafeez, 22, was wounded when he put up resistance to a robbery bid at graveyard.

The wounded man was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
