According to sources, Shuja Shah had contracted a second marriage three years back after the demise of his first wife.

The couple had not been on good terms for the past many months. On Monday, after exchange of hot words over a domestic dispute, Shuja Shah allegedly took out his gun and showered bullets on his wife, who died on the spot even before getting medical assistance.

The suspect managed to escape from the scene and fled with his gun. The body of the victim was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy.

The Hazro police have registered a murder case and launched further investigation.
