KARACHI: A woman was shot dead allegedly by her husband in the name of so-called honour in Orangi Town on Friday, police said.

They said the victim woman, 25-year-old Gul Razi, was shot at and killed by her husband, Abdul Ghani.

Pirabad SHO Imran Afridi said that after killing his wife, the suspect surrendered himself before the police along with the pistol used in the murder.

He told the police that he had doubts about the character of his wife, and, therefore, he had killed her. He did not express any remorse, the SHO added. The victim was the mother of three daughters.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Two men shot at, wounded by robbers

A 25-year-old man was shot at and wounded in Musharraf Colony on Friday morning, police said

Moachko SHO Syed Mohammed Adnan said Waseem Rustam had left his residence to have tea in the area when some armed men attempted to snatch valuables from him. As he put up resistance, the muggers shot and wounded him.

He was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.

In another incident, a 35-year-old man was shot at and wounded by robbers in Surjani Town.
