To date, the final stretch of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’s marketing has been marked with a feeling of finality, suggesting that James Mangold’s first crack at the 40-year-old franchise would also be the last.

Producer Kathleen Kennedy confirmed Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is Harrison Ford’s “last entry”, but if Lucasfilm were to continue the franchise, “it might be in series television.”

The odds of an Indy spin-off series actually happening likely depend on Dial of Destiny’s box office performance and fan interest. In terms of the latter, Lucasfilm should choose wisely, especially since that interest would need to exist apart from Harrison Ford’s titular hero.

Late Los Angeles Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant will appear on the cover of NBA 2K24. Bryant died at age 41 in January 2020. He has been featured on three previous covers.

2K, the publisher of the video game franchise, unveiled two covers featuring Bryant. NBA 2K24 will have two editions: the Kobe Bryant Edition, showing Bryant in action, and the Black Mamba Edition, featuring a close-up of Bryant.

“Sharing the Mamba Mentality with the next generation,” 2K tweeted, referencing Bryant’s nickname of Black Mamba. NBA 2K24 is set for release on September 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC and Nintendo Switch.

“As we celebrate 25 years of NBA 2K with Kobe Bryant, we commemorate his legacy and the generational impact he has had on the game of basketball,” Greg Thomas, president at Visual Concepts, the game’s developer, said.
