New Slender Man game seemingly teased

Many years ago, a horror character called Slender Man started popping up around the internet and then this faceless entity was getting video games, movies and more. Eventually Slender Man went back to being a niche internet character.

There have been two games in the Slender series. The first is an eerie indie game that placed players in the woods with only a flashlight. They were tasked with running around and collecting pieces of paper before Slender Man could catch them. It was a huge hit which eventually spawned a sequel known as Slender: The Arrival. This was more narrative-driven, but it received mixed reviews.

Nearly a decade later, the developer Blue Isle Studios is teasing a third game, by tweeting a creepy 14-second teaser video with a weird little monster sitting in a dark room.

We have no idea what they’re teasing, it may be a remake/remaster or could be a sequel to the previous game.

Mutant Mayhem action figures are about to drop

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will hit theatres on August 2nd. Playmates (a toy company) has come out with details on fully articulated and poseable figures that stand between 4-5 inches tall and include weapons and accessories. There are also 12-inch figures and vehicles.

Paramount describes the film as, “In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend, April O’Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”

Sharksploitation documentary coming to Shudder

Various films have been released that explore what happens when wild animals turn deadly and victims are caught in their path of violence.

The documentary Sharksploitation explores this highly specific realm of cinema, which was kicked off with the massive success of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws and inspired countless copycats.

The project’s Director/producer Stephen Scarlata shared in a statement, “This documentary is the ultimate love letter to the shark movie genre, filmmakers who work hard to make these films, and to the misunderstood species themselves.” Sharksploitation aims to address not only the excitement of the animal’s fictional prominence, but also how these films impacted the actual animal. Sharksploitation is set to hit Shudder on July 21st.
