Caring for all creatures

The is regarding the story “Caring for all creatures” by Alizeh Shoaib (YW, June 3). The story urges us to show compassion towards all dependent creatures, especially during harsh weather times like summer.

It highlights how we sometimes become self-centred and neglect the needs of others, which is sad. The story teaches us the importance of extending our help and support to every living being created by God. It reminds us to recognise our responsibilities and fulfil them in a timely manner.

The frightened kitten

This is with reference to the story “The frightened kitten” by Aliza Hameed (YW, June 3). The writer beautifully conveyed an important message to the readers about the significance of rescuing animals in dangerous situations.

Indeed, saving an animal in difficult circumstances is a noble act that holds great value.

There are various animals, such as kittens, dogs, donkeys and birds, who struggle to survive during harsh rainy conditions. Unfortunately, due to the lack of help from humans, many of them lose their lives or continue to face such tragic outcomes. If we all show care and attention towards the animals in our vicinity, we can make a difference.

High in the sky

This is regarding the cover article “High in the sky” by Rizwana Naqvi, (YW, June 3). The article provided an in-depth knowledge of kites, including their origin and the process of making them.

Kite flying is a universal activity enjoyed by people of all ages across the globe. It is a simple, yet fascinating, pastime that brings joy to both young and old.

Although I found the article enjoyable, it is important to note that kites, while entertaining, can also pose risks to pedestrians and cyclists. The sharp strings used for flying the kites have resulted in numerous accidents, including cuts on throats. Therefore, it is crucial for everyone to exercise caution and be aware of the potential dangers associated with it.
