RAWALPINDI: Police have booked 12 PTI leaders and 200 supporters, including former ministers and members of provincial assemblies, on charges of restraining public movement, violating Section 144 and shouting slogans against the government while heading towards Federal Judicial Complex on Saturday.

Former aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, former provincial law ministers Basharat Raja, Fiazul Hassan Chohan, Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, former deputy speaker Punjab Chaudhry Afzal Paryal, Ammar Siddique Khan, Chaudhry Javed Kausar MPA, Farakh Mehmood Sayal, former federal minister Ali Ameen Gandapur and ex-MPA Seemabia Tahir were named in the FIR with 200 unidentified supporters.

No arrests have been made by the police so far; however, a senior police official told Dawn that arrests would definitely be made since the FIR had been registered.
