CHAGAI: A man and his one-year-old daughter were killed in a collision between a car and a pick-up truck near Gazzin area of Chagai on Monday, officials said.

Taaj Muhammad Sanjrani was travelling on the RCD highway when his car hit the Iranian-made Zamyad pick-up.

Five people, including Mr Sanjrani’s wife and two children, were injured in the accident.

According to Levies officials, the accident occurred when Mr Sanjrani was on his way to Nokkundi from Dalbandin.

Mr Sanjarani was the district health communication support officer and was affiliated with CHIP Training and Consulting, a consulting firm. He was assisting the Balochistan health department in polio eradication and other immunisation campaigns in Chagai district.

Rakhshan Division Additional Commissioner Badal Dashti expressed grief over Mr Sanjrani’s sad demise and paid tribute to his “remarkable services” in polio eradication campaigns in refugee-dominated areas of Chagai.
