Creating cute home decorations, which are simple as well, is what this craft section is about, and that’s what we are doing in this week’s craft.

With just handful of popsicle sticks, craft-loving youngsters can create this beautiful wall decoration in just minutes.

Things you need:

  1. Popsicle sticks: 15 large
  2. Felt sheets: 3 (2 red, 1 green)
  3. Ruler
  4. Hot glue

  1. Cut hardboard about 12 inches long, 3 inches wide, picture 2.

  2. Paste the sticks on the hardboard, I used 15, you can use more or less; pictures 3 and 4.

  3. Take any plate or bowl and put it on the felt sheet, make sure the mould has 6 or 7 inches of circumference, this will create a perfect size of a flower, picture 5.

  4. Now cut the felt in spiral, picture 6.

  5. To make the flower, you will need the help of an elder as you will be using the hot glue. Take the felt spiral, and put some hot glue at its centre, then start folding it inward, picture 7.

  6. Keep folding the spiral carefully, while using hot glue in intervals, hold it tight, as you reach the end you will notice that the flower has come into its shape, picture 8.

  7. Paste a bead or a pearl in the middle of the flower, picture 9.

  8. Make at least seven such flowers, all in different sizes, and cut some leaves from the green felt, picture 10.

  9. Arrange and paste six flowers at the bottom of popsicle stick stand, and one flower at the top, picture 11.

  10. Use a green yarn string and make twirling stem between top and bottom flowers, then paste leaves on it, picture 12.

This cute wall décor is ready, just paste a loop at the back.
