RAHIM YAR KHAN: US Consulate General Lahore Political and Economic Section Officer Kevin Ching and Political Assistant Daim Fazil visited Rahim Yar Khan district.

During their two-day visit, they held meetings and visited historic Bhong Mosque and Hindu Temple in Bhong town where they were briefed on the history and sanctity of the revered sites.

During the visit to holy places, Kevin remarked that the US greatly valued interfaith harmony that was a way forward for a better and prosperous society.

The delegation met PPP divisional president Engineer Javed Akbar Dhillon among others and stated that the US would contribute towards socioeconomic uplift of south Punjab.

They also visited the Khwaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology and learnt about the ongoing academic projects and the achievements that university had made.

The university management urged the consulate officials to broaden the scholarship base to south Punjab. The US delegation met the civil society activists and the district bar association also.
