LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan has once again used his powers to reschedule the 42nd assembly session.

A press release issued by the assembly secretariat on Thursday said that asserting his authority under Rule 25(b) of the Rules of Procedure, the speaker has convened a sitting of the assembly on Nov 21 (Monday), while Mr Khan had earlier postponed proceedings of the ongoing 42nd session for Nov 28.

It is the sixth time that Mr Khan, who assumed the office of speaker on July 29, has done rescheduling of the house proceedings with apparently no cogent reason.
