IPOH: Pakistan lost to South Korea 2-1 on Saturday and are now out of the race for the final of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia.

The Umar Bhutta-led Pakistan took lead in the third minute through a goal by Abdul Hanan Shahi. But Kim Hyeonhong scored a brace within the space of a minute in the fourth quarter to steer Korea to victory.

In the six-team invitational tournament, Pakistan, the former three-time winners of the Azlan Shah Cup, are currently fifth with two points from four games.

Greeshirts’ final match in the round-robin stage is against Egypt on Monday.
