GUJRAT: Regional Police Officer of Gujrat Akhtar Abbas has suspended a station house officer of Pahrianwali police station of Mandi Bahauddin district for negligence and poor performance.

The RPO has also issued show-cause notices to three SHOs of Gujrat district for negligence in official duty.

The paid a surprise visit to Pahrianwali police station and examined the record register during which he found some major discrepancies.

He ordered Mandi Bahauddin district police officer Anwar Saeed to immediately suspend SI Qaswar Usman, the SHO of police station, and ordered a departmental inquiry.

Later on, the RPO also chaired a meeting of Mandi Bahauddin district police and reviewed the overall law and order situation.

A spokesman for Gujrat division police said that the RPO had also issued show-cause notices to at least three SHOs of Tanda, Lalamusa Sadar and Kunjah police.
