NAROWAL: Up to 20 motorcycle ambulances have been provided to Narowal district, which will serve Shakargarh and Zafarwal tehsils and Kartarpur.

A spokesperson for the Narowal Rescue 1122 said the trained staff would run motorcycle ambulances. The service will be the first responders to emergency calls received by Rescue 1122.

According to the nature of the emergency, ambulance vehicles can also be sent along with a motorcycle ambulance.

Locals Muhammad Bilal Akram and Muhammad Fayaz have hailed Rescue 1122 for starting the motorcycle ambulance service.

They said that in 28 districts of Punjab, including Narowal, the motorcycle-ambulance service is working to extend the service to the areas where narrow streets do not allow vehicles to reach.

Locals thanked Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi for the facility.

The motorcycle ambulance has a first aid kit, including oxygen and fire cylinders. According to Rescue 1122, 750 motorcycle ambulances are being provided to provide motorcycle ambulance services in 28 districts of Punjab.
