HYDERABAD, Dec 19: The relief department of the government of Sindh notified here on Monday that the entire Tharparkar district, excluding seven barrage dehs – Bhitaro, Phant, Serhi, Kaloi, Dhodharo in Diplo taluka and Naokot, Wasaipoto in Mithi taluka – is facing a drought-like situation.

A notification issued by the Sindh relief commissioner declared that Diplo taluka (excluding the five dehs), Mithi taluka (excluding two dehs), Chhachhro taluka and Nagarparkar taluka as calamity affected areas.

MERIT LIST: The University of Sindh on Monday issued the third merit list of candidates selected on general and quota seats for bachelors degree programme.

The university also released the third merit list of candidates for admissions on sports and self-finance seats.

The selected students were asked to deposit admission fee by December 28 in the Jamshoro branch of the Habib Bank.

RESULTS: The Sindh University on Monday declared the results of admission test for the evening programme of bachelors and masters.

The result was posted on the university, website (www. usindh.edu.pk) and notice boards of the Sindh University Model School and the directorate of admissions, Jamshoro.
