DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two policemen embraced martyrdom in an attack on a police check-post in the Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district on Sunday.

Sources said armed motorcyclists used automatic weapons in the assault on the Mandrani police check-post, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Moor Khan Behrani and Constable Babul Khan Kanrani. The attackers also took away their official AK-47 rifles. Police officials and personnel of other security forces on receiving the information rushed to the site and shifted the bodies to district hospital of Dera Allahyar. “The victims received multiple bullet wounds, which caused their instant death,” hospital sources said.

Police launched a search operation in the area following the gun attack.
