TOBA TEK SINGH: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) raided an illegal slaughterhouse on Jaranwala Road in Faisalabad on Sunday and seized and destroyed 100kg of substandard meat. An FIR was lodged against the owner of the illegal slaughterhouse.

In another action, the PFA raided a juice unit and found 720 bottles of substandard juice. An FIR was also registered against the unit owner.

CASE: Faisalabad Regional Police Officer Ali Nasir Rizwi visited on Sunday the Allied Hospital and inquired after the health of a woman from Faisalabad who was set on fire by a man after she resisted a rape attempt on Saturday.

The police registered on Sunday a case against the suspect on the complaint of the survivor’s husband.
