TAXILA: Seven police officials of Taxila police station, including the station house officer, were issued show-cause notice for not properly disposing of applications of litigants.

According to a police spokesman, SP Potohar division Rana Abdul Wahab paid a surprise visit to Taxila police station.

He checked the record of the police station and visited the lock-up, front desk and reporting room.

During his visit, he found massive pendency of cases and failure to dispose of applications of litigants as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the police department.

SP Wahab then issued show-cause notice to the station house officer, five investigating officers and the moharrar of the police station.
