Dangers lurking on the beach
This is regarding the cover story, “Dangers lurking on the beach”, by Benazir Raz, (YW, May 28). Enjoying at the beach is probably one of the most favourite summer activities for many. However, staying safe near the water is also an important part of enjoying the beach.
Be sure to follow the beach rules and keep an eye on the beach for various kinds of bugs and worms which might sting. For instant, in the article, the writer has nicely elaborated how we can stay safe from rip currents, jellyfish, water debris, etc., which are commonly found on beaches.
Therefore, it is important to always be careful so that our favourite summer outing should not turn into an emergency situation.
Hasnain Saeed Abro,
My lovely Pakistan
This is with reference to the story “My lovely Pakistan” by Aiman Saleem (YW, May 28). The story sheds light on the beauty of Pakistan.
I agree with the writer that Pakistan is rich in natural beauty. There is no aspect of natural beauty which our country doesn’t have. For instance, beaches, waterfalls, mountains, gases, gems, valleys, orchards, stunning lakes and vast deserts.
Pakistan has all of these, along with the best weather conditions.
I appreciate the writer for describing the beauty of our beloved country in a storytelling way.
Sunny Kumar Jagwani,
Amazing migratory birds
This is regarding the cover article, “Amazing migratory birds” by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, May 14). It was an informative and beautifully written article. The writer covered all the main points regarding migratory birds that we didn’t know about before.
All animal species are important and they must be provided care and should be saved from hunters. I never thought about birds like this before. The article changed my whole perspective and now I will be more caring towards birds.
Arshman Khan Jadoon,
A great embarrassment
This is regarding the story “A great embarrassment” by Ghousia Naz (YW, May 28). Though a humorous story, with the strong underlying message that we should appreciate all that we have.
We should not feel embarrassed to wear spectacles, it’s just an aid for us to see well. Rather, we should be grateful to God that He has blessed us with all the blessings that we can think of. There are many people out there who don’t have eyes, or are physically impaired. So we should be thankful that we are blessed with everything.
