TOBA TEK SINGH: A fire broke out in the residential quarters of the Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant No 2 in Jhang district on Saturday.

It took firefighters several hours to control the fire.

The Rescue 1122 said the fire was triggered by a short circuit. It caused a loss of Rs 4.5 million.

PROTEST: The members of the Pakistan Medical Association staged a protest outside the DPO’s office against the failure of police in tracing the robbers who robbed the house of Dr Ghulam Mustafa.

The protesters, led by PMA President Dr Muhammad Ramzan Chaudhry, told the reporters that four robbers had taken away cash, gold ornaments and foreign currency worth Rs5m after taking Dr Mustafa’s family hostage and the police could not trace the outlaws so far.
